This tutorial is a general overview of our Touchless Payments product. We'll go over the ins and outs of how the product works from table-side QRs, digital menus, and contactless payment.
Table-side QR codes
You will receive table specific QR codes that map your physical tables to the respective table in your POS system.
Guests simply need to scan the table-side QR code with their phone camera to view the restaurant's menu on their own mobile device. If a guest's phone does not support QR code scanning, they can visit pay.chkplzapp.com and use our built-in QR code scanner.
You can easily upload your menu from our back-office portal. We currently support up to 7 different menus, each of which may be uploaded in two different languages.
After scanning the QR code, your guests will land on the restaurant menu page and can view a PDF version of your menu. They can easily switch menus using the MENU button in the bottom right of the screen or change their preferred language at any time.
Viewing the bill
Guests will only have access to their bill once your waitstaff punches their order into the POS. From there, they will be able to view their table's bill organized exactly as it appears on the POS, separated by seats.
Guest may select individual or multiple seats, as well as pay for the entire table's bill. Depending on the POS integration, guests may also have the option to split the bill in equal amounts with others at their table.
After selecting which seats they are paying for, guests can choose their tip as either a % or $ amount. The displayed tip options are defaulted to 15%, 18% and 20%, and are configurable by the merchant. For UK merchants, TIPs are disabled by default for guests.
Guest can pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay or by entering/scanning their credit cards manually (Not currently available in the UK).
Once a payment is submitted by a guest, the seat will auto-finalize on the POS and automatically print the receipt.
Reviews & digital receipt
After payment, guests are prompted to leave a review of their experience for the merchant and enter their email to receive a digital copy of their receipt.
